MHQ is proud to have supported National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) in implementing powerful new ambassador and mentoring programs to engage members!
“While NAGC’s annual Communications School is an opportunity to hear top-level speakers in multiple interest areas and offers networking with other government communicators, we’re incorporating other ways in which members can leverage networking and career growth opportunities in a meaningful way,” says NAGC Membership Director Holly Hardin. “NAGC is excited to offer a new opportunity for members to support each other through its Mentorship Program. This program is designed to foster growth, encourage development, and create opportunities for both mentors and mentees. It’s about building relationships that support learning and mutual respect. NAGC values the wisdom our members bring, and we are excited to see the ways in our members will shape the future of government communications.”
Their Mentorship program is a special partnership between two people based on commitment to the mentoring process, common goals and expectations, focus, mutual trust and respect. The mentee can learn valuable knowledge from the mentor’s and have the opportunity to establish valuable connections, while mentors can practice their leadership style and renew their enthusiasm for the field.
NAGC also launched their Ambassador program, connecting NAGC members with new members to assist with navigating NAGC membership benefits, professional development opportunities, and networking, with the goal of enhancing the NAGC member experience and increase member retention.
