MHQ serves scientific, academic, government and public-sector, and risk and insurance associations across the U.S. and internationally, including academic societies dedicated to teaching and research. The MHQ team provides the infrastructure boards rely on: conferences, financial reporting, governance support, and membership systems. That frees volunteer leaders to lead with vision. Rudick facilitates strategy sessions for association boards and makes each client’s goals her own.

Rudick knows the volunteer experience firsthand. She has served on boards of directors and committees for more than 25 years. She currently serves as board member and treasurer of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. She has served on the board of AchieveMinneapolis, where she formerly co-chaired the governance committee. She is past board chair of Meet Minneapolis, where she also chaired the Diversity Multicultural Action Committee, and of the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association. She has served on the boards of the Better Business Bureau, where she co-chaired the governance committee, and The Aliveness Project, as well as the One Heartland advisory board.

Inclusion runs through her leadership. She founded and co-chaired the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for Associations North (formerly MSAE). She was also a founding member of the Commercial Real Estate Diversity Collaborative, a group of trade associations committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity in Minnesota’s commercial real estate industry. She has presented her approach to hundreds of association industry peers. Her view is that inclusion begins with organizational values and requires a hard look at bylaws, board composition, and nomination processes.

Associations under Rudick’s leadership have been named Top 100 Places to Work by Minnesota Business magazine. She has received numerous Awards of Excellence from MSAE, including Volunteer of the Year. She also received One Heartland’s Heart of Hope award for her leadership on behalf of children in need.

Before launching MHQ, Rudick spent seven years as the top executive of a group of commercial real estate trade associations and their for-profit technology provider. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal named that group a Top 25 Trade Association.

She is an active member of Associations North, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI). Rudick earned her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and completed master’s-level coursework in the University of St. Thomas MBA program. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and connecting with family, friends, and community. She and her husband are proud parents of an adult son and live in Minneapolis’ Powderhorn Park neighborhood.

Prior to joining MHQ, Mackenzie worked at the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota (BBB) for nine years, where she received numerous promotions, most recently to Community Relations Manager. While at the BBB, she executed over 50 annual events regionally, including the BBB’s annual awards ceremony: the Torch Awards for Ethics. She cultivated relationships with media outlets and decision makers at local and national companies, developing lasting strategic partnerships. Her work drove sponsorships to support the BBB’s educational foundation. She also administered an annual scholarship program for high school seniors, increasing submissions and scholarships.

Mackenzie is heavily involved with volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that is near and dear to her heart, having lost her mom to the disease. She co-founded the Young Champions in 2010: the Alzheimer’s Association young professionals group in the Twin Cities (Minnesota). She has served as the President of the Executive Board since its founding, overseeing four committees including advocacy, fundraising, education and member recruitment. Alongside her brother, she started the Memory Mixer, an annual fundraiser to honor their mom, raising over $200K since its inception, and continuing to grow. She and her husband participate in a women’s flag football team (men serve as coaches) to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, raising nearly $1mil in the most recent season.

With a BA in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing from the University of Minnesota, Mackenzie spent a semester studying in Barcelona, Spain.

An avid traveler and athlete, Mackenzie participates in a variety of sports leagues and biking. She and her husband live in South Minneapolis, and are sports fans and season ticket holders for University of Minnesota Gophers football. She enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Her comprehensive expertise spans venue sourcing and contract negotiation, food and beverage coordination, audiovisual management, exhibit and sponsor sales, and attendee services. Amy has managed complex conferences for associations, bringing a depth of experience that complements on-the-ground conference leadership.

Before joining MHQ, Amy was a Senior Account Executive with association management company, The Harrington Company for 20 years. Amy has volunteered with a number of non-profit organizations including Associations North and Junior Achievement.

She holds a B.A. in Communications from Concordia College, has earned her LDP certificate, successfully completing MHQ’s 10-month Leadership Development Program.

She has volunteered as a reading mentor with Minneapolis Public Schools. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health and Wellness Coaching.

Gloria brings a unique lens to MHQ client events of well-being, engagement, and connection.

Kent’s ability to attend to details compliments his skill for explaining complex financial issues in an easily understandable way.

Kent has served as a board member of El Colegio Charter Schools in Minneapolis since 2017 and he is currently the Board Treasurer. He serves on the school’s Finance Committee, Executive Committee, and the Strategic Planning/Fundraising Committee.

He has also been a Board Member and Treasurer for the Tonka Alano Society since 2019, an AA chapter and independent 501 c-3 nonprofit corporation.

Her dual certifications — as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant — reflect both the breadth and rigor she brings to her financial leadership. Aspen’s service ethic extends well beyond the office: she volunteers as a board member of First in Families of North Carolina and as a Young Professionals Cabinet Member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs, and in 2015 she received the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the President of the United States, recognizing over 150 hours of community service.
