On Saturday, May 18, a group of community members, entrepreneurs, and business leaders gathered in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minn. for the second annual Powderhorn Shark Tank competition. Management HQ (MHQ) CEO Dara Rudick was asked to judge the competition.
“This was a great opportunity for small businesses to come together, pitch ideas, and compete for cash and other prizes to fuel their growth,” said Dara Rudick, MHQ CEO. “The best part was the visibility these brave entrepreneurs received with the community.”
Dara has been a Powderhorn Park resident for more than the years. Both she and her spouse, Ryan Allen, have served separate terms as board chair for the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA).
“I am so proud of our community, of the beauty and diversity of our neighborhood,” said Dara. “When [PPNA Executive director] Tabitha Montgomery asked me to judge this competition, I was honored.”
A panel of five “Shark” jurors reviewed dozens of applications, and selected a small group of finalists. Winners were chosen at the event on May 18. For more on the PPNA Shark Tank competition, visit: https://www.ppna.org/powderhornsharktank.
