Growth is on our minds and in our hearts as spring peaks through this last stretch of winter here in Minnesota. This morning, February 20, as I grumbled my way along a short but chilly (-3°) walk with my canine workout partner, I quickly put my attitude in check. I noted with gratitude my warm home, meaningful work, and the outstanding humans who are our team and clients.
So far 2020 has been a whirlwind:
- MHQ welcomed two new clients, both national associations with nearly 100 combined local chapters and associations.
- Three new stellar folks joined our growing staff team, including a former intern.
- We are seeking to fill two newly created opportunities: Controller and Education and Credentialing Coordinator
Personally, I am focusing on two key areas in 2020: wellness and growth. I’ve shifted from vegetarian to an almost entirely plant-based diet, for the sake the wellness of the planet and its inhabitants, including my own. Our team joins me in eating plant-based group meals. I am regularly practicing mindfulness and meditation. And I am working to grow Management HQ: seeking to continuously develop the expertise and professional lives of our team, and increasing the impact and number of association clients we serve that are doing great things for the world.
As the earth sprouts signs of new life, we at MHQ are taking a deep breath of gratitude to be able to support associations that are determined to thrive.
