My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. MHQ is proud to have My Dog Is My Home as our 2025 community partner for the second year in a row. This organization is having a powerful impact and provides invaluable support to keep people and their pets together.
In addition to supporting the organization by donating a percentage of MHQ’s revenue in honor of our clients, we share information about the organization each month and provide in-kind consulting services.
PUPP Act
In August, Christine Kim, Executive Director and Founder of My Dog Is My Home, joined Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06) in Colorado as he introduced the Providing for Unhoused People and Pets (PUPP) Act 2025, bipartisan national legislation that has the power to keep individuals experiencing homelessness together with their pets–so that people don’t have to choose between their beloved companion animals and a safe place to sleep.
Now we’re making a coordinated push to grow support for the PUPP Act before the end of the year. Your outreach can help bring new members of Congress on board. Early bipartisan support is key to showing how much communities care about helping people keep their pets during times of housing crisis.
