My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. CBS News Los Angeles spotlights My Dog Is My Home’s report with USC Homeless Policy Research Institute and the ASPCA on California’s PAS
CBS Los Angeles broadcast a news segment on the report My Dog Is My Home completed in partnership with the USC Homeless Policy Research Institute and the ASPCA, which demonstrated that California’s PAS created more pet-inclusive housing for people experiencing homelessness. This removed barriers to housing and allowed more people to secure safe emergency and permanent housing.

MDIMH San Diego Open House at Father Joe’s Villages, Mar 5
On March 5, join us for My Dog Is My Home’s first open house of 2026, at Father Joe’s Villages in San Diego, CA. Scheduled for the day following the National Alliance to End Homelessness conference in San Diego. If you’re staying in town for an extra day or two, please join us.
The open house includes talks by Father Joe’s Villages and My Dog Is My Home about how to implement changes in emergency housing to shelter people and pets together. There will also be a Q&A and tour of Father Joe’s Villages’ state-of-the-art facilities.
