Management HQ Names Kevin Ward as President
Ward Sits Among few Leaders of Color in Minnesota’s Association Management Industry
Minneapolis, Minn. – June 17, 2015 – Management HQ (MHQ) today announced that it has added to its leadership team Kevin Ward as President. Kevin joins MHQ with more that 15-years’ experience in leadership development, strategic growth, and client services. Kevin will lead MHQ’s team in supporting clients, increasing operational efficiencies, and driving strategic organizational growth.
Kevin’s work in the association sector has resulted in double-digit percentage increases in revenue streams for associations, particularly in non-dues revenue areas. Recently, for the National Black MBA Association, Kevin and his team created and implemented a strategic plan for a major national conference that resulted in 16% exhibitor growth, a 17% increase in sponsorship revenue, and exceeded revenue goals by 16%.

Kevin has held previous leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies, including GE Capital and SC Johnson Wax. He most recently founded The FORWARD Group, an executive coaching and training company whose clients include Coca-Cola, Procter and Gamble, and Duke University.

Kevin earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Cincinnati, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He later earned a Master’s of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary. Kevin serves on the board of directors and the development committee for the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, and is a board director for Connections to Independence. He also serves as a high school graduation coach for AchieveMpls.
