Management HQ president Kevin Ward recently joined other entrepreneurs from local startups, and professionals in the technology field to serve as a coach for the STEP-UP Achieve program’s Vision & Venture Day.
As a Vision & Venture Day coach, Kevin was charged with guiding a team of students through a learning process of designing a product to pitch and then creating a powerful presentation. “It was an absolute honor to serve as an entrepreneur coach for the Step-Up Achieve High School Students,” said Kevin.
Hosted by STEP-UP Achieve and CoCo collaborative co-working space, Vision & Venture Day is a day-long training event created for students participating in the STEP-UP Achieve program. The objective of Vision & Venture Day is to equip students with the tools necessary to problem-solve real-world issues, develop a product that addresses the issues using technology, and successfully pitch their product.
This training also incorporates preparing youth for internships in the tech field and with emerging businesses. Students participating in the Vision & Venture Day experience spending a day as an innovator, social entrepreneur, and problem solver.
