Recently, the Management HQ (MHQ) team spent time volunteering with People Serving People in Minneapolis, a regional nonprofit that helps homeless and at-risk children and their families manage crisis situations and build a strong foundation for their long-term success.
We were responsible for onsite “Building Beautification” and worked together to clean two rooms that had just been vacated by residents, and then did general cleaning of the common spaces and hallways on a number of floors in the facility.
We wanted to partner with a local organization for this volunteer project. People Serving People is located just a few blocks from MHQ’s office, so this project gave us a chance to connect with an organization in our own neighborhood. We also wanted an activity that could be done together as a group.
“Volunteering at People Serving People was such a rewarding experience for our team. It gave us the opportunity to learn more about an organization located in our neighborhood, provide support to those in need right here in Minneapolis and work together in a unique way outside of the office,” said Mackenzie Kelley, MHQ accounts, events and membership coordinator. “I look forward to continuing to support this organization in the future.”
