We have selected My Dog is My Home as MHQ’s 2024 Community Partner. In addition to supporting the organization by donating a percentage of MHQ’s revenue in honor of our clients, we will share information about the organization each month, and provide in-kind consulting services.
My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to shelter for people experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. Using the momentum from their annual Co-Sheltering Conference that took place in March, My Dog Is My Home is activating their national network to educate members of Congress about the Providing for Unhoused People with Pets (PUPP) Act. The PUPP Act is a bipartisan bill which, if passed, would create a $5M fund per fiscal year 2024 – 2028 for providers of emergency shelter and permanent supportive housing to accommodate people and their animals together. Read more about the PUPP Act here, and please be in touch with Christine Kim (christine@mydogismyhome.org) to learn about how you can get involved in these educational efforts.
