The COVID-19 pandemic compelled organizations to be creative with their events.
MHQ guided its client, the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), to shift their annual conference to an entirely virtual format, which gave ADEC the ability to offer new learning and networking opportunities and further connect with professionals and members across the world.
In addition to 23 live sessions, ADEC offered over 40 on-demand sessions and many poster presentations. ADEC hosted several networking sessions throughout conference to further engage those in specialty fields and international participants. They also offered one-on-one sessions to connect attendees in conversations with presenters.
Over 550 individuals participated in ADEC’s first-ever virtual Conference. Participants came from 24 different countries, and nearly all states within the United States were represented.
Client board leaders deeply appreciated the success of the event, with the board president sharing the following with the MHQ team:
“I wanted to express appreciation on behalf of the entire ADEC Board for each one of you on the MHQ team and the part you played in the success of our first virtual conference. I appreciate your individual and collective expertise. Thank you for your guidance, effort, and patience and for helping us to thrive as we move forward.”
