As we enter the fall season, many association boards of directors are preparing for elections and incoming leadership. Some are even considering restructuring.
One recent trend that we’ve seen is a decrease in the size of boards of directors. A smaller board can offer a number of benefits:
- Increased efficiencies in performing board duties, including decision-making
- Ability for each board director to have more significant impact
- Decreased burden to recruit a large number of new directors
