My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. MHQ is proud to have My Dog Is My Home as our community partner for the third year in a row.

Come celebrate changemakers, enjoy a delicious brunch, and hear from people with lived experience of homelessness, as we join together to create a world where no one must choose between their pet and a safe place to sleep. Plus, a VIP hour featuring the adorable adoptable dogs of the Animal Care Centers of NYC.

My Dog Is My Home Conference 2027 Call for Proposals
My Dog Is My Home is now accepting proposals for our 2027 virtual conference, taking place online April 20-22, 2027.
Recommended topics include:
- Fundraising for pet-inclusive programs
- Data collection and metrics
- Programs that spotlight specific populations (LGBTQ+, indigenous people, young people, people with disabilities, etc.)
- Prevention of homelessness for people with pets
- Community outreach and community-led interventions
